^ I'd forgotten about that one. So that's five serious relationships for Bashir (the dancer, Melora, Leeta, Sarina, and Ezri) and only one for Quark (Natima Lang).
Doesn't seem fair in my book.
Well...he did seem to have a serious relationship with Lady Grilka for a time. (I know...we know when it started--"Looking for
par'mach...."--but we don't know when it ended. I'd say it went on for a while, considering its...intensity....)
And it seems as if he had a lot of "short-term" girlfriends--although, the ladies always seemed to be fellow schemers....
And of course, if you read the books, Quark and Ro Laren fall for each other. Of course, it eventually goes the way of Ezri/Julian--in the same group of short stories, no less!
And WHY? Ro cites his roguish attitudes when he holds "thoughts" about other women, and so on. Ironically enough, she doesn't want him to change--she says his roguis ways are exactly what attracted her to him!
(Sheesh. This woman needs to make up her mind! I don't get what KRAD was trying to say here....)
i agree on the dancer, leeta and ezri. but i'm not so sure about sarina and melora... and i wouldnt go as far as serious.
And...I'm not convinced his relationship with Leeta was that serious. Remember...she had had thoughts about Rom even
before she left Bashir (As "Let He Who Is Without Sin..." makes clear). And, of course...there's the debacle over Kukalaka....
Basically, while there was a relationshp between the two, it didn't go that deep. As far as I was concerned, it was strictly physical, with little or no emotional connection.
