CHEKOV: A small ship, Captain. It's been there five minutes, remaining outside phaser range at extreme limit of sensors.

SPOCK: Sensors indicate the size of a scout ship, but the configuration is unfamiliar. Most unusual.

Spock: Starfleet records no authorized vessel in this quadrant other than ours.

Kirk: Care to guess what she is?

Spock: Guess Captain? I shall need more data for my estimate.

Kirk: Mr. Chekov, plot course to intercept that vessel. I want to see what she looks like close up.

Sarek: You embarrassed Spock this evening. Not even a mother may do that. He is a Vulcan.

(That line just seems odd to me. Sarek admitting that his Vulcan son was embarrassed?)
