"Jonny, I'm gay."

Is it hilarious that Shatner pretended to be afraid of a guy in a rubber alien costume, or that Nimoy pretended to be mind linked to a rock?
I now want to dress up in a rubber gorn costume and just start taking wild swings at people in public and see if anyone is afraid. there's only one way to be sure.

I can never watch Mudd's Women again and not hear that line as Johnny, I'm gay because of you guys! :wah: Hopefully by the time I ever see it again I'll have forgotten about it! ;)
I think the Gorn costume was quite effective and it's only as an adult that you can see it's faults! I'll let you know when I reach adolescence! :techman:

By the way didn't gay used to be a word for a loose woman or a prostitute? I know it described a woman of easy virtue in the nineteenth century and perhaps even earlier!

No, gay meant happy and in a good mood. It's in a Christmas song and my husband informs me that the UVA school song has gay in it with that previous usage. When I was growing up, homosexual was used (neutral), and there were at least two terms that were derogatory. Gay wasn't one of them.
