I think I can safely say that it is absolutely not a continuation of the last film.Is this a continuation from the last film
Clearly you haven't seen Gordie's thread on the subject. No one wants to remember that movie.
Appropriately enough, this will actually be the fourth time.I'm very excited about this. Hopefully third time's the charm.
Well, third production team. I'm thinking of the first two films as one attempt.Appropriately enough, this will actually be the fourth time.
I'm talking about this one. I don't care if it was unreleased. It was made. I bought it. I own it. I've watched it several times. There's been a documentary made about it.Well, third production team. I'm thinking of the first two films as one attempt.
Eh....Is this a continuation from the last film, or something new altogether?
Oh, fair point. I forgot about that one.I'm talking about this one. I don't care if it was unreleased. It was made. I bought it. I own it. I've watched it several times. There's been a documentary made about it.
"It's real!"

The 90s film is actually not that bad an attempt to do a FF movie with the resources they had, even taken on its own. It certainly had problems (the whole subplot with The Jewler was stupid and unnecessary, and obviously it was pretty low budget), but it also had its charms and it felt like it at least wanted to be a FF movie, unlike Fant4stic. I'm actually kinder to the 2005 film then most people, I think it had a lot of good elements even if it should have had more superhero-ing, but would still probably put the 90s movie over it as a FF film, even if the 2005 film was probably a better movie. Rise of the Silver Surfer was absolutely rancid, though.
My one hope for the film (beyond just, you know, being good) is that they keep the idea of the F4 as the first superheroes. Maybe have them fell into a wormhole in 1963 and reappear in 2023 or something.
I'd really like to just not see Dr. Doom in the first movie. I'd rather see someone like Moleman, with Doom maybe just hinted at. Eventually it would be nice to get an MCU Doom, but starting out I'd prefer the variety of not having Doom really connected to their origin and not being their first foe.
Don't be baffled, we all like different things. Some of my fave movies are actually terrible and unloved by most. The bad ratings are baffling.
