Can The Last Temptation of Christ get some love up in here?![]()
I really enjoyed it. I’m not at all religious but I loved its conceit of a human being having to confront his godliness; someone who wanted to live a normal human life but could not escape his destiny. I was actually reminded of it in the Doctor Who two-part Family of Blood, where Ten is living and enjoying his life as John Smith in pre-WWI England but has to become the Doctor again and abandon the simple life he loves. The sequence where he lives a mortal but happy lifetime then has to sacrifice himself to be the Son of Man is very moving.
