Generally I don't think that these Photoshops which consist of grafting the mask of the actor's face - eyes, nose, mouth and sometimes chin - onto a pre-existing image of the original actor (physique, posture, hair, head-shape, ears, sometimes chin etc) tell us very much.
I wonder if there will be early publicity stills of the actors as a group, in costume, released early during production? That's something Paramount did occasionally with Trek in the past - not always - but given Abrams' penchant for secrecy I guess it's not very likely.
