John Barrowman / Desperate Housewives

Just a quick reminder ... John Barrowman is guest-starring in a six-episode arc on Desperate Housewives. His first episode airs Sunday, March 21st on ABC (in the US).

Bring on Evil Cap'n Jack!

Come back with a review, OmahaStar. It only seemed like a couple of weeks ago he was on the telly saying he was going out there to film.

Awesome. I'm assuming that
He's playing Danny Bolan's Father?

talking of Barrowman in the states, what is this im hearing about Captain Jack being straight in the Fox version of Torchwood? would RTDs really allow that?

It was just Barrowman saying he doesn't want his character becoming straight in the U.S. version. I imagine they'll treat the issue much like they do on Who when he shows up. Nothing overt.

but is Jacks sexuality not a big part of Torchwood? and what makes it different from other sci-fi shows?

speaking of his sexuality, anyone watch that documentary he did on bbca John Barrowman: where did i come from or something? it was all about him exploring what "makes" someone gay. very interesting.

:rommie:

That is the funniest thing I've read all day.

Barrowman will be the male version of Thirteen from "House"

Hmmm ok, he is playing a crazy bad guy in Housewives. Holy smokes. He's almost the complete opposite of Captain Jack. Where Jack has morals and redeeming qualities, this character has none. He's scary, and dangerous, and I'm wondering just how high the body count is going to rise.

Torchwood USA is probably going to be a spin off. Lets face what RTD did with Torchwood where just about every single guy is gay, bi, or turned gay or buy isn't going to fly.

I just acquired the episode of Housewives and fast forwarded through to Barrowmans' scene (will watch it properly tonight). Without giving away spoilers, it's not very long but it certainly packs a punch. I actually laughed out loud at first because it was so unlike him, but if you didn't know who he was it would scare you to death! Can't wait for next week! Will certainly make the time til Series 5 go quicker!

ive decided to have a look when John Barrowmans first DHW episode would air on C4.

now according to Digiguide the last new episode was Series 6 episode 9, on Sunday 21st March on E4, and Barrowmans first episode is S6 episode 18, so if E4 runs with no breaks, his first episode should air on Sunday 23rd May.

I'm convinced Australians are the worst "acquirers" of the lot. Mainly because... well, why should I wait to watch something, even a week? Tv Networks have improved and most shows are only a few weeks behind (Doctor who Season 5 will start only two weeks after it airs in the UK), but still, why should we wait, when the technology is available to make it available instantly? Stupid Media Companies and TV Networks.

Anyway, story for another topic.

Which scene? He was in two last night. The one in the apartment, and the one before it.

It's not just waiting the week, it's the labouring to be in front of the telly at a precise hour AND bothering through advertising.

Well saw it and I was flabberghasted!

John Barrowman is only stunningly attractive in a room full of Englishmen... Because you'll note here how plain he's become on Desperate Housewives in contrast to nothing but even average looking yanks.
