In my head, River visited Trenzalore over that period. He had visited her in her prison, she returns the favor.

Also, I wonder at what point in the Doctor's life the Doctor became aware of his "fate" at Trenzalore. The eleventh Doctor knew what it meant, and as we see in "The Day of the Doctor" the tenth Doctor knew, too. So, which Doctor was the first to make a connection between Trenzalore and his death?

Also, I wonder at what point in the Doctor's life the Doctor became aware of his "fate" at Trenzalore. The eleventh Doctor knew what it meant, and as we see in "The Day of the Doctor" the tenth Doctor knew, too. So, which Doctor was the first to make a connection between Trenzalore and his death?

Perhaps an attempt at postponing "The Fall of the Eleventh" is the real reason the Doctor decided not to count the War Doctor in the numbering system?
