Like Whittaker, I've never seen Marshall in anything, but I watched a clip of him a few hours ago and saw no trace of anything Doctory. I'm really glad he didn't get the role.
It's sexist because you are condemning the character based on her gender alone. It's the very definition of sexism.

I literally only just heard of Jodie Whittaker this weekend with this talk of her becoming the Doctor. While I don't have much to go on, she seems a good choice, and I approve this casting.
Celebrating diversity does not mean we have to tolerate bigotry.
