Well, I was fortunate enough last night to catch the series finale through my Bell Expressvu satellite - I won't post spoilers, but I will say that the episode was very good and left me with the same feeling that Journeyman's last episode gave me...it wraps the series up nicely, but leaves the future to your imagination. If skiffy picks it up (unlikely), then I don't see it being too hard to keep the story going where they left it off.

You monster! Posting this thread was one of three things I looked forward to during a week and you took my last chance! :(
:p

I've read some posts in other places from Canadians who've seen it, and everything I've been reading (here included) has been very encouraging. I was left disappointed with the last season/ series finale, but it sounds like that won't happen tonight. :)

THAT"S the end? Damn. There is lots of story still left to tell here, but I guess it was the best we could get with the limited time.

Thanks CBS for giving us the 7 episodes and damn you for cancelling it again. This show developed into a damned fine show and it's gone way before it's time.

So that's IT?!?

Oh well. Would have been nice if we'd found out who exactly the hell Smith was, and what was his relation to Valente. Which one of them was really behind this shit?

Pretty good episode tonight. The closure they provided in the episode sort of reminded me of the series finale of Angel- they don't completely wrap everything up, but the ending was still pretty satisfying and you're able to come up with your own conclusions about what's going to happen.

Just got done watching the final episode. I kind of figured some of what was coming, but I absolutely cheered when the Texas ANG shot down the ASA's interceptors. There is another couple of seasons in it easily. I hope it gets a chance to come back.

No shit, that was left totally unresolved.

Is Smith even dead? He was shot in the shoulder, it looked like.

I wonder if the never-used cliffhanger ending will be included in the inevitable DVD set. Somehow I think it likely.

That was a pretty good ending from where I'm sitting. Again, Yay Beck!

Never thought I'd say this, but I hate to see it ended.

I did have to chuckle about the Independent nation of Texas. I'm sure more than one Texan rather enjoyed that. ;)

Guess we know now why Xander Berkeley wasn't credited. Since the Smith arc had such a piss-poor resolution (as in, none at all), he was probably too embarrassed to even be associated with it.

I gave it a "D". It really didn't resolve much and created more questions than answers.

Looking back at the entire series: I really don't know what the writers were trying to accomplish. The show started off as a soapy drama and turned into an action adventure series. The show never really found a focus, and it is going to be very forgettable in the future.

I wouldn't be surprised if the season finale cliffhanger was the jets about to attack Jake and Hawkin's plane, and the army about to arrest all of the main characters. They just filmed the conclusion to those cliffhangers instead of waiting until a third season to do it.

Didn't even get to see Tomarchio and Valente get executed for treason. Bastards.

The Sopranos finale creeping back into consciousness, anyone?

I'm sure if there had been an actual second full season, you might have seen all of that, Baba, but they did a damned good job with what they could do. Hell, they even shoved a quick pseudo-wedding in there. (I'm stunned you didn't puke at that, Bonz.)

The image in the tapestry is complete, but there is still plenty of more weaving of story to do.

Gods, I hope they get to finish telling this story. It's just getting nice, twisted, complicated and intense. We're just getting to the meat of the tale.
