Never cared for the bun all that much.

That haircut was really hot. The bun was awful, it was schoolmarm look.

Someone should do a thread like this for Kira. She had a style per season as well IIRC, plus that thing from the pilot.

lol A poll like that would be impossible.... Kira had a different hair style almost every episode, especially in seasons 5 and 6.... sure it was all short for the most part, but there always seemed to be something different done to it every episode.... fluffy, curly, flat, up, down, wavy, up and back, down and front... she probably was the most realistic of all the characters, in that like real life, her hair wasn't identical for months or years on end

There's an idea for a poll in DS9 section of the forum...

The Avenue Q song "If You Were Gay" is saved to my favorites. No matter how many times I watch that Voyager fanvid, I always crack up.

I went for the Season 5 hairstyle, mainly by the virtue that she looks sexiest in that photo from that particular season. The hairstyle she had in the latter half of the series in general looked good, compared to seasons 1 and 2, in which she looked like an old schoolmarm. I also think the later hairstyle took some years off her as well.

I loved her bun and when I was younger I tried to do it with my hair but it didn't work. I know that her long hair was a wig but still I like it in "Resolutions" or in "Eye of the needle". *g* But I like her best in the 5th season. The haircolor was perfect and also the make up.

No, that was a wig. She's on record on about this one. He hair was very long like that when she was in her teens and very early twenties, but it was just at her jawline during "Caretaker", and the bun we see is a wig/hair piece. Anytime we saw that super long hair, it was a wig.

From a military point of view, a lot of the hair cuts just would not be put up with. She would have had to wear her hair above, and not touching the collar. Season 1 and the first few others got it near to being right, neat, tidy, off the collar up dos, however later on the hair was allowed to grow on and beyond the collar, this would be totally unacceptable. It is one of the only disappointments I have with the series.


PS Was it a wig or extensions attached to her own hair?

Wig.


And you have to think, since they where so far away from home, that some exceptions would be made. Such as the hair.

Argh I hate the early season's power bun. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks she looked older with that thing!

I liked her pony look. I thought it was a nice transition from that bun to the cut she had later on. But I'll have to vote for the short cut from season 5 on. (didn't realize there's a distinction between them)

Anyone else notice that Belanna's hair changed slightly from season to season as well? Obviously not as much as Janeway but I really liked it when it was curly in Season 6
