Janeway Died? In Which Book?

I was going to post something about this...

Yeah I figure Lynx will go nuclear if she finds out what is mentioned in that book. We should probably hide in a bomb shelter some where.

I'm sure that I don't really have to say this because I believe that most of the posters here are civil enough to obey the rules about such things, but just out of an over-abundance of caution, I'm gonna ask...

NO! SPOILERS! PLEASE! :scream::klingon::scream:

Thank you. ;):)

They're already talking about this in the thread (using spoiler coding) for that book.

Well I never said what the spoiler is ,I just said that it's something Lynx won't like.

I can't believe anyone could tap into my dreams so thoroughly!

Janeway dead?! That's like the ultimate fan fiction!:)

I'm kidding.

Maybe.

I have to admit that it was a relief having Janeway die off. I always went through the obligatory wincing whenever Captain Picard dealt with Admiral Janeway.

I sympathize with the Janeway fans, though. Data's death wasn't exactly a Trek high point for me (to say the least).

Considering they couldn't even give Data his OWN death scene and had to rip off Spocks'....yeah, I agree with you, Snap.

If you think Before Dishonor annoyed Lynx just wait till she reads A Singular Destiny

1. Lynx is a he, not a she.

2. What's so special about "A Singular Destiny"? Another insulting story with more character destruction?

3. Send me a PM if you don't want to write a spoiler.

I really liked the Chakotay/Seven pairing, but there should have been some hints seeded into the last season. There were a few episodes where they could have done little things that would have helped make Chakotay... a bit more memorable?

Jeri Ryan's take on it is in the interview in the next STM - I asked the interviewer to raise it with her, and her response is... interesting to say the least. In fact, between that and the Bryan Fuller piece, Voyager fans are going to have a few assumptions questioned!

Did you finally just notice that? People have been saying she, pretty much since you first came into the thread.

I did notice it somewhere but was so busy in replying to some post that I forgot about it.

The "Lynx" name seem to confuse people, why are cat names often considered as female?

However, the name started with a totally unknowns, short-lived rock band which yours truly was a member of, continued with a Maquis ship in a story I wrote which had the same name (or has, considering the fact that I might come up with another story) and became my user name shortly after that. Why? Because I like it! :techman:

Not to mention that I also liked the fiercy cats themselves.

As for a certain "event" which would annoy me even more, I've been informed about it and so far it looks a bit vague and uncertain.

But nothing surprises me anymore.

I've personally assumed you were female by the way you have conducted yourself because of the wording and the way you have phrased words as well.

Huh?

The way you phrased what you were saying and in the manner in which it affected you didn't exactly come across in a particularly masculine manner which in it self isn't a bad thing what so ever, it just reminded me of a few people I know who are in fact women. It just proves you shouldn't make assumptions as assumptions are bad.

Wow - now there's some assumptions...

I'm not assuming anything. I honestly don't know. I'm puzzled. It was you who said, "I've yet to hear of one Janeway fan that was touched by her death. In that respect Peter David failed in his execution", and yet you've been here often enough that you must know you were incorrect.

I have been here often enough to know that anyone who comes into this forum and expresses anger and/or displeasure over Janeway's death is quickly shutdown. Consequently I base my perception not on what I see here but on other boards.

So you didn't mean "I've yet to hear of one Janeway fan that was touched by her death", you meant "Beyond the TrekLit board of this bbs, I've yet to hear of one Janeway fan that was touched by her death."

That's a big difference.

I must say, the last few times I visited VOY boards and checked out Janeway threads, it seemed to me like very few "Janeway fans" have read too many ST novels, except maybe "Mosaic".

Ummm... you notice this thread is over 400 posts long, right? (ETA: it was 400 earlier in the week; now it's pushing 600.)

You notice it's Lynx who's written the plurality of those posts, yes?

Well, surely you notice that you're still able to post in the thread, don't you, kimc?

So where is this quick shutdown you're griping about?

Shut down? This thread on that very subject is on page 30.........................
