Janeway & Chakotay

I always wished there were a way Janeway could remember something of that timeline, remember the gift Chakotay gave her. Even a quiet, subtle hint, like Chakotay mentioning a clock or watch, a hint of recognition on Janeway's face. Anything.

I would rather see Janeway without a boyfriend.

I'm with you on that!

I never liked Chakotay... and I almost can't stand the fact that Tuvok was demoted to tactical in order to make Chakotay the first officer. Tuvok would have been a much more able first officer, IMO, hands down.

IIRC Tuvok was always her tactical officer/chief of security, he wasn't demoted so Chak could be promoted.

In fact, the only one who was demoted was Chakotay who went from Captain of his own ship to XO of the ship he saved by destroying his own.

^^ Excellent points.

I wish the writers had had enough subtlety (HAHAHAHA--I know, I know--this is Star Trek) to hint at a deeper relationship between J/C all along the way. There is nothing better than UST to balance out scifi as far as I'm concerned.

Can you imagine them arguing over who would be laboured with maternity leave?

Whosoever is not changing Diapers, is the Captain.

You miss my point.

Chakotay knocks her up on purpose without permission surreptitiously, fiddling with her contraception, to be the Captain.

A very subtle coup.

I've been rewatching Voyager with my gf recently and we're about halfway through S4, and the sexual tension between J/C is totally ridiculous and has been since S2. They so clearly want to get it on with each other, except they can't! As much as Janeway clearly is in to him, her duty won't allow it. That said, it's a beautiful part of the Voyager story and I think they should have kept rockin' it right to the very end, instead of the stupid C/7 thing, which super sucked.

What about inside his spirit guide machine where no bugger can see them?

He missed the window and landed clearly in the friend zone, or she did.

You go back a post and you'll see that I sad that their would be an argument about who would be the primary caregiver and who would be given maternity or paternity leave and limited duties.

I have no delusions that it might just be the Indian who dons the apron and becomes the house Frau... Although I long suspected that Neelix was so involved in Naomi's upbringing because he was retiring to Sam's bedroom most nights. So if Chuckles isn't going to put out, then Neelix isn't going to be the volunteering type so much this time around.

A holoNanny?

Gods, they wouldn't just leave a 3 month old in Fairhaven indefinitely?

RoseDuneKat--I find myself really wanting Janeway and Chakotay to get it on? Am I the only one? Lol.

A lot of people who can write tackled the Chakotay Janeway connection beginning in 1998. Since then their devotional stories have blossomed to take-over sites of Voyager fiction. The stories are about Chakotay and Janeway getting it on and are x-rated. The stories are generally centered around Chakotay introducing his manhood for some diverse reason or Janeway, temporarily the striptease expert, lustily overwhelms Chakotay with sweetalk.

The writers of the Voyager series won't bring anything like that into existence. Chakotay and Janeway feel very deeply about each other but Chakotay feels deeply about Seven and Janeway feels deeply about Tuvok. I think Chak/Janeway did get it on in 'Full Circle'. One has to read closely. She's departing Proxima Station just before Part 2 and she refers to their previous night together.

Absolutely well said.:techman:
I for myself would like only two things:
-I think, the sexual tension between the two started with the very first scene in Caretaker , when Chakotay beamed on the Voyager bridge ore at the latest at the end of "Parallax".
-I`m a J/Cer, but I also liked 7/C. I think the are a very good looking couple.

Yeah, it started then. He's standing on the bridge of Voyager, Janeway's acting all tough....and she leans waaaaay in to him and tilts her head up.

He shoulda kissed her right there.

 This is one of my favorite J/C scenes. Makes me think the fanfic authors who write about J & C having known each other at the Academy are on to something.

Btw, anyone got a J/C academy fic rec? ;)

:lol::ack::lol:

I'm just a few episodes into season 4 and the sexual tension is crazy between them! and i've been shipping them since the second episode into Voyager! I wish they could just get it on already, is it me or does anyone else fill in the blanks for them since they obviously ran out of time and cut the scenes out to make them shorter e.g. "Chakotay"-insert line that should have be said-'I love you'. lol

We just watched the one where Janeway finds out Mark has married someone else, and she tells Chakotay and the sexual tension was DRIPPING, and then she takes his arm and GET IT ON ALREADY BOTH OF YOU!
