All I can say is- The famous "Missing scene" belongs just to that scene.
Actually I think that's exactly what we got.This is where I wish they had taken the relationship "behind the scenes," where we get pretty heavy hints that they are together, but nothing for sure. Unresolved sexual tension is exactly what this show needed.
I'm not a "shipper" by any stretch, but I think there are several scenes throughout VOY's run that hinted heavily at "unresolved sexual tension"

I don't disagree, but I think those scenes got fewer and farther between as the series continued. And there are some people who claim there was no UST at all--if you can believe that.
^ I know lots of folks say the J/C scenes dropped off after Season 3, but it was in the second half of the series that they started having all those candlelit dinners together and apparently getting smashed on occasion. Not to mention some spontaneous public hand-holding. And an obvious poke at the J/C fans in "Muse." I see that come up in fanfic a lot, too - J and C lamenting that their relationship is nonexistent and so on, and I'll often wonder if I'm even watching the same series as the author!
Plus "Shattered" was the most obvious J/C episode in the series next to "Resolutions."
I think they kept up the UST pretty well. It just had a bummer ending.

Thank God for fanfiction and Voyager novels so I can have my fill of J/C because Endgame pretty much killed me with that whole Seven thing. I think I must have eaten the entire contents of my fridge out that night!

I've just finished the first 5 chapters and I love it so far. You have the characters completely nailed unlike some fanfiction stories I have read before. Thanks for sharing it with me. I can wait to see what happens next. For one horrible moment I thought chapter 5 was the end of the story then I saw I had much more to come. I'm going to read as much as possible tonight and then hopefully finish it by tomorrow afternoon. Thanks again!

Please note: I have yet to actually watch the entire Voyager series, I am mid-way through Season Three. I do know some of the later episodes, but I missed a great deal of the story. I am working my way through on Netflix now, so please, no spoilers if you can help it.
I find myself really wanting Janeway and Chakotay to get it on? Am I the only one? Lol.
I'm on season 4 and so far they have had a great chemistry together. It would be good if they did but I see them being friends with weird romantic moments from time to time. But ya never know. Yay for Netflix
