I wasn't intending that to be a shot at him. If it came off that way I apologize. I have nothing but respect for people who put their own time and effort into fan films.
I've just gotten to the point where the rumors about the new Enterprise flying about have left me punch drunk, and humor is my main defense from madness. Honestly, I'd be in the fetal position if they designed a spaceship with flapping wings et. al. on a 150 million dollar budget, with the classic Matt Jefferies design of TOS to work from.

He's more than entitled to his own opinion. He's put both his money and his sweat into recreating TOS. He's earned the right to say that Star Trek should look like Roddenberry's original creation.
