:luvlove::luvlove:Ezri Dax, Supreme High Princess Of The Universe!:luvlove::luvlove:

Reminds me of her hot moment in the finale, when Ezri, leaning against the wall, asks Julian, "Have you...talked to a counselor about your...annihilation fantasies?"

Anyway--I still say Miss deBoer looks half her age--at least!

(She's like the feminine counterpart to Chuck Norris--in that sense.)

"Fair Helen..."

Did she dye her hair red, BTW?

yeah i could believe my eyes when i saw that she was 39. and she's a mrs since dunno, maybe ten years back.
dunno about the hair. it a bit reddish but as far as i know she's a brunette. those eyes remind me of an old girlfriend. ah crap, i'm getting nostalgic.
EDIT: I've got three Ezris on the bridge in STO :-)
EDIT2: right, here it is. september 11 2009. newest pic i know of. From toronto film festival 2009.

Ezri was far better acted. At least Ezri had some personality, unlike Jadzia. And Ezri wasn't as inherently annoying as Jadzia is due to Jadzia's obnoxious smugness.

However, both IMO were completely useless characters who were 100% irrelevant to the plot of the show, and wasted screen-time, that could have been much better spent on good characters instead. The show would have been far better with neither.

*mouth drops with horror*

omg what the hell was u watching:rolleyes:, both daxes were very popular, jadzia was allways my fave, but i do like Ezri, Nicole brought the vunrability that Ezri needed, Dont foget that Ezri never wanted to be joined Jadzia did.

^I will say: A problem I had with Destiny (probably the only one) is Ezri's occasional use of...shall I say...more colorful metaphors.

Case in point:
Capt Ezri Dax: Get those b**tderds off my ship

I dunno. Ezri always seemed too innocent to curse in Standard. I mean--we've never heard her use such metaphors in the show....

Yeah--I seem to remember: her husband's a pop singer of some kind....

*Pours a glass of water over Rush's face to make him wake up*
I know that a pic you simply can't stop looking at. i can see the headlines tomorrow. "10000 people are catatonic after the posting of a nicole de boer picture. cause unknown."

(Hacking cough, blinks) Whew! I'm up....

(Whistle) Sweet.

No counselor?
well you can just have those three different officers. and besides i hate psychologists. even if i study psychology. i know, i'm a hypocrite... although i make an exception fro ezri.

Well seeing as how the psycologist stereotype is the Sigmund-Freud nutcase who somehow gets the idea that you have a subconcious sexual fantasy involving your mother (not exaggeration--Freud actually said that)...I understand.

However...I'd think of Ezri as more of a nurse, as it were...helping her patients through care--in this case, literally. She cares, and you open up to her, because you know she cares. In short, she leaves Freud in the dust.

To whit:

Not like the brazen wizard of Austrian fame,
With baffling words astride from land to land.
Here--at our star-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A noble woman, with a torch whose flame
Is imprisoned lightning--and her name:
MOTHER OF EXILES! From her beacon hand
Glows world-wide welcome, her mild eyes command
The star-bridged harbor which twin quadrants frame.

"Keep, ancient minds, your storied pomp!" cries she,
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled patients yearning to think free,
The 'wretched refuge' of your 'sacred store'!
Send these--the helpless, tempest-tossed to ME!
I life my lamp...beside the golden door!"

(Uh--think Q, roasting Ezri Dax on her endearing nature. But as always...his gags are actually true.)

i never liked that guy. he had a few good ideas but mostly he was full of crap. and that's my professional opinion :-)

i actually like her way of counseling. its not the no nonsense, straight to the point bull but the more pleasant speak when you're ready way. do i even make sense?

anyway. that verse of yours, where's that from? i think i recall reading it somewhere or at last parts of it.

It's the poem of the Statue of Liberty--with some words tweaked to make it relevent.

"The New Colossus" by Emma Lazarus, BTW. :)

Nicole deBoer married John Kastner,Montreal/LA based lead singer of various punk outfits such as The Asexuals, the Doughtboys and All Systems Go!, on December 18 1999 in Toronto.

This site has a wedding photo.
