is there loads of cool battles between spaceships and I know most things like captain kirk and the klingons and the spockanians and such but is it worth watching and most importantly cool action and cool dialouge??????

You ask that on a board devoted to Trek? I mean, if we didn't enjoy Trek, we wouldn't bother to come here, would we?
Yes, it is worth watching. I love all of the series except one, and even that one has its good points, so yes, watch Trek. There are cool space battles (cool by TV standards), there is great dialogue, there are wonderful characters and there are interesting situations, some of which make you think.
Mind you, every Trek show - like every TV show that I've ever seen - has some weak episodes. But in balance, there is far more good than bad.
BTW, it's Vulcans, not Spockanians. Although now that you bring it up, Spockanian is a pretty cool word!

Couldn't agree more! Why would you go to all that effort of joining a board whose only purpose is everything Star Trek?
. Before joining a board like this or calling yourself a fan I would say watch the films and and at least some of the series first (any of them). And if you like Trek ask Santa for some DVD's. I think many of us would also agree that it is not just about the battles as you do not get them everytime, a lot of the time they are just great stories that you will want to watch again and again.I'm actually fan of it as I've seen two episodes and a bit of a movie. I think Johnny Depp should be the next captain, it would be super special awesome!
