I've returned to Deep Space Nine...

Just as a quick explanation, I've been sucked into a certain game that's taking up free time lately, but it's not an MMO, so when I'm done with it expect more reviews.

Games tend to do that. (I've gotten back into Dynasty Warriors 3; which I paid more attention to this past week than my Chinese homework...which I thought I was going to breeze through on the day it was due).

I'm curious as to what game has your attention...?:)

Anywho, looking forward to your continuing reviews.;)

For me, it's Fallout 3. Very atmospheric. Incredibly so, really. I didn't think I'd like it, but I love it.

Dynasty Warriors! Oh, man. Roughly a decade ago, I checked out the very first title (which was actually just a one-on-one fighter!) and enjoyed it, so I got the second one and was floored by the change of style. Then I got the third, fourth and now I have the sixth, as well as Warriors Orochi 2 and Samurai Warriors 2. Great series, if often redundant.

DW3 is one of the best though, for sure. It really paved the way. The improvements over 2 are excellent.

I've played a bit of Fallout 3...(Pretty awesome) I'll have to revisit it someday.

With the Dynasty Warriors series, I would say 2-5 are the ones worth playing. The sixth incarnation sucked; and, interestingly, there is supposedly a seventh game on the way.

I do agree, they're redundant; but, the good ones are addictive...

I would like to try Samurai Warriors and the Orochi series...

SIDESTORY: Years ago, when I was introduced to Dynasty Warriors 2 by a roommate...I bought the first incarnation, thinking it was going to be the same. It wasn't!

Unfortunately, I bought it from the cheap Warehouse(or was it Wherehouse?) records...and their policy was: If it's opened, no returns.

*sigh* It's no surprise they went out of business...!:guffaw:

Heheh.

I would definitely recommend Samurai Warriors 2. It has a good amount of content to it and I find it more enjoyable than any DW title somehow. Warriors Orochi is kind of a mixed bag. You have access to almost a hundred characters in the second title so it's really cool for that, but abilities are limited compared to other games and the plot is laughable. I'll readily admit none of the games' plots are exciting (the historical backdrops are stellar, but the execution is obviously severely lacking) but evil demons from the underworld rising and pitting China and Japan against one-another nonsensically? Come on!

These reviews of yours are great, Jeff. :) I just wish there was some way you could update the first post with an index that includes your rankings, but unfortunately this BBS software doesn't support that... I've come to this thread rather late (you started it back in August) so I'll have to do some mining. ;) Looking forward to your reviews of my more favorite parts of DS9.
