Flashback has more than it's fair share of problems. But it is leaps and bounds ahead of TATV in terms of being a proper valentine to the fans.

Yeah, Flashback isn't really good. As nice as Excelsior crossover may be, the episode itself (starting from the writing) is pretty bad.

But it is leaps and bounds ahead of TATV in terms of being a proper valentine to the fans.

Goes without saying.

If "Trials & Tribble-ations" is a 10, and TATV is 0, then Flashback is about 4.5 at best.

Which doesn't say much, since VOY in its entirety is barely a 6.5.

Flashback is enjoyable but it's no epic winner like Trials.
