It's that time again...need help with an adware bug.

After multiple scans, this particular one just isn't going away. It's something called "Win32.Backdoor-DNM" and it basically pops up as a legitimate windows warning for some kind of trojan or keylogger, but is actually just a website link. After using antiVir and SuperAntiSpyWare I still can't seem to get rid of it. Does anyone have any suggestions

Most likely, it's being stored in protected areas that you can't normally access. If your anti-spyware and anti-virus programs allow for boot-time scans, do that if you haven't already. With any luck that'll get rid of anything that hides itself in RAM. If that doesn't work, I'd recommend using a bootable anti-virus of some sort. That'll bypass pretty much all the OS protections that modern viruses hide behind.

If that doesn't work, just backup your important data (you really should have your data on a seperate partition, anyway, just in case of such an eventuality), format your OS partition, and reinstall.

Also, a specialized removal tool exists for a similar trojan that might work.
