It's not just Gallifrey that the Doctor will find.

Daleks are not particularly brilliant tacticians, and their strategic goals are no mystery. They are good at blowing things away, it's pretty much their only plan. The Timelords seemed to think sitting behind their technological walls was all they needed to do to hold off the Daleks. That's something they are good at overcoming. Stairs too. But cleverness and guile whips them every time. The Timelord High Council doesn't seem to have a lot of that.

I reckon it's going to prove to be the circular light pattern that made up the back wall of the original TARDIS.

The way both Doctors pined over them when they appeared smacked of Chekov's gun a bit to me.

This would be totally cool: In the last episode of next season the doctor finds Gallifrey...and it ends up beeing something harmless he had carried with him all along. They used that cube thing on Gallifrey, if I understood correctly...and it´s now "become" a piece of art that could be anything anywhere in all time and space. What if it ends up beeing that random thing he picked up ages ago when he was the fourth Doctor?

...What if Earth was Gallifery, post non-moment, the whole time? And his innate fondness for Earth was a part of him sensing Gallifery beneath whatever means of deception the Time Lords had put up? And it turns out the TimeLords are just chilling in the center of the Earth, banging their gavels and filing bureaucratic none-sense? They could have a non-interference clause now that they've seen what they're capable of.

Turns out every human being on earth owns a fob watch :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

High on ceramics, low on metals then...I suppose the Daleks bested the Movellans after all, but the Rutans still stymie the Sontarans in the new series.
