Ultimately, everybody wants to be accepted by someone, even if they realize it or not.From what I gather from the responses related to the new Trek movie by the people on this forum. I think, it is the dream of us all.

Because humans instinctively view the universe as what happens inside their brain. The idea that time and happenings exist outside the sphere of influence of a person didn't become widespread (again, see the Greeks) until after the Middle Ages.
Then we've had five or six hundred years to get over it. I'm only in my fifties.![]()
