Is This Photo Even Real?

Is this photo even real?

I ask because:
• Leonard's headshot looks carefully chosen, and retouched like a publicity portrait. I want to say Season 2, like his official portrait in The Making of Star Trek. Also, the lighting on Leonard's face doesn't match the others, although that could be the Vulcan makeup.

• Bill's face looks candid and his hair is long. It's Season 3.

• I've never seen this picture before, and it's wikicommons source is "ebay item." Hmm.

If it is a real photo, or if it was faked in 1969 by the studio and thus a "real" item today, does anybody recognize the backdrop? Was this from an episode that is slipping my mind?

Uh... it might be real. The backdrop may not be Trek-related. But the thing that gets me is that the shirts are all exactly the same "density." Spock's and McCoy's blue shirts should look darker on B&W film. They do look like later season shirts, and maybe that material difference accounts for the B&W response.

Yeah, we used the Spock solo pic at the end of our (IMO fantastic) article Red Skies, Red Garters about "Spectre of the Gun".

Bang. You're illogical.
