Is The next generation collector's edition out of order?

I just bought The Next Generation Collectors edition on VHS from goodwill... when I got home I organized them using netflix; however, they are not in the same order as netflix. Example: "Haven" and "Where No One Has Gone Before" being on the same tape back to back and netnlix saying they are 5 episodes apart, and the episode that netflix shows between them are matched with other episode on tapes that also dont follow the order that netflix shows. (I double checked to make sure Netflix just didn't have them up right, but IMDB and Wikipedia have the same order as they do.) I wanna watch them on my VCR not netflix, but I don't know if I should watch them in the order they are in on the tapes in the collectors edition, or if I should try and watch them in the order on netflix by switching back and forth on the VHS tapes. I am new to The Next Generation even though I am a huge sci-fi fan, and could use help from anyone that may know why this is collection is made this way, or if would effect my viewing to follow the order they have vs. the order I found online. Thanks for any help!

thank you for the help! wold you suggest watching in order of production or air date? do you think it would matter? I notice that the tapes are in production order and Netflix air date, so I am assuming it wouldn't matter which order i watch it in. and really its only season 1 that does this. Also with the VHS vs. Netflix thing its just some thing my girlfriend and I do because we have a really old big screen TV in the living room and all we have for it is a VCR. we only watch Netflix before bed on my smaller smart TV in the bedroom.

but thanks you helped me be a lot less confused.

The only time I can think of where the airdate order matters is "Skin Of Evil" which was filmed before "Symbiosis" but clearly meant to be watched after.

I know a few of the 2 parters from all the shows where filmed in a different order such as "Unification Part 2" being filmed before Part 1. DS9 did a Mirror Universe episode in between a 2 parter and (I think) Voyager filmed several episodes between "Basics" Parts 1 and 2.

Omg I couldn't imagine watching those VHS tapes again. Happy viewing I guess. Whatever works right..

Do not miss the grainy distortion of VHS tapes.

The other place air order and production order might matter is Family. In production order it does not come directly after BOBW.

I was thinking of throwing away all my VHS tapes of TNG just yesterday when I came across them...
