There's still a third SG-1 movie in the works as far as I know. I'm a little weary about that though, since Continuum sucked. lol.

I actually thought that was a very dumb song to play. "You get it? Cuz they were running out of air? They couldn't BREATHE? The audience will think it's hilarious!" I didn't think it was hilarious.
Indeed. The writers were obviously trying to copy the pop musical montages common on cable fare such as Rescue Me (or perhaps even trying to immitate the season-ending music montages on The Wire), but their music selection was often like being punched in the face it was so literal.

A music montage can work. They didn't work very well on SGU, though - especially with inane song choices like "Breathe".
I found them grating mainly because they never played music I liked. Supernatural does a much better job of that.
