I can’t see that...not without some kind of ‘you must forget me for the good of the universe’ scene, and I can’t see them Mary suei g Burnham into a martyr that preserves all reality. I really would need John de Lancie to turn up for that, just to have someone laughing on screen.

Personally I think the "reset" already happened in that most of Starfleet is destroyed, the Federation is in disarray, and both need to be built anew.

However, I do NOT think there will be an alternate universe/time jump type reset.
