I don't really agree that removing the 1's and 10's would make much difference they mostly cancel each other out. Maybe I'm biased but across the series they look about where I would expect, 8's for the first two and then a drop of to around 5-6 for the latest ones.
A shame, Season 1 is one of my all time favorite Treks. I'm sorry you weren't able to enjoy it or its worldbuilding.
I would agree with that, as that seems to be the average of the reaction around here. Does that make it a failure though? That's the bigger question for me. To me, "failure" implies very little, if anything, redeemable.I don't really agree that removing the 1's and 10's would make much difference they mostly cancel each other out. They're not legitimate critics. They're being disingenuous.
They're not legit? Yet they have 1.4M followers to Paramount+ 440K.
No, they are not. They're not legit?
It won't. Because the point is to give as much possible Trek content for all individuals to pick and choose to enjoy not just die hards who think Trek belongs in a box. What matters is SNW. Once it starts in Canada. Their rating numbers will speak volumes when compared to STD and STP.
Hate? No. Not a primary source of information or something I give any weight to? Yes.I mean I don't want to seem like I'm taking Char Kais' side here, the side of absolute hate, but the absolute hate for YouTube critics isn't great to see either.
When it stops getting made then it's a failure. Until then, nope.Whew. With those lousy numbers i would definitely call it a failure on all levels.
Indeed. The authors got to write the story they wanted to under the constraints they had. Also, I just don't even see what the point of caring about the ratings for Star Trek: Picard would even be. Star Trek: Picard is going to have three seasons, they're ending the show after season three, and season three has already wrapped principle photography and is in post-production. It's a done deal. Ratings are immaterial at this point.
Well it still is. They left it open for a fourth just in case. If no ones watching we won't see Picard ever again. I certainly don't want 4 season of this junk. Also, I just don't even see what the point of caring about the ratings for Star Trek: Picard would even be. You don't have to watch it. I didn't want 7 seasons of Voyager either. Definitely not TNG.Well it still is. They left it open for a fourth just in case. If no ones watching we won't see Picard ever again. I certainly don't want 4 season of this junk.

It's nice to congratulate P+ and Picard/Halo, but they're not even close to being "king of the streaming wars".https://twitter.com/Luiz_Fernando_J/status/1521452138890678272
Halo and Picard have basically made Paramount+ king of the streaming wars.

The compelling and incredibly popular Yellowstone origin story 1883 from creator producer Taylor Sheridan was once again a juggernaut. It holds the top spot for acquisition and is the number one streaming original ever for the service in terms of new domestic subscribers and engagement.
Why do I care? It's nice to congratulate P+ and Picard/Halo, but they're not even close to being "king of the streaming wars".
