No worries. I've reached a particular spot that I wasn't at before. And I'm not talking about Trek.No commentary on your selections, just using it to set up mine:
Then I'll dismiss that out of hand. Neither best nor worst ever. The opinion about season 2 went from 10/10, "best episode of Star Trek ever" to 1/10 (0/10) "worst episode of Star Trek ever" (some say "worst season of Star Trek ever").
While PIC Season 2 is turning out to be my least favorite of the six live-action New Trek seasons so far, I think the "honor" of worst season of Star Trek overall goes to ENT Season 2.There are two ways you can look at it. From the fans/critics' perspective, did the fans/critics like it, and from the business perspective of Paramount.
The fan and critic reaction is now largely negative. The season is a failure in the eyes of many people.
I have not seen a shift in public opinion this drastically in such a short amount of time.

Paramount's perspective:
Paramount has two metrics to determine the success or failure of a show.
Acquisition drivers and consumption drivers.
The last time these numbers were publicly available was at the last earnings call.
But we have other public data points:
In Canada Picard is broadcasted on normal TV and viewing numbers are publicly available from Numeris, the Canadian version of Nielsen.
Numeris publishes the Top 30 shows per week for free.
Picard S01E01 had 1.851 million viewers.

Picard S02E01 is not in the Top 30 (no S2 episode so far was in the Top 30).
This means Picard S02E01 has less than 0.963 million viewers.

TNG Season 1 is probably of lower quality, but at least its badness is fun to watch and I really like the good episodes. ENT Season 2 is just dull. "Cogenitor" is all it really has going for it. When I binged ENT in 2020 (@1001001'semoticon conned me into watching it), I thought Seasons 1, 3, and 4 were all okay (especially S4), but ENT Season 2 really lived up to -- or should I say down to? -- its reputation.
I'll take PIC Season 2 over ENT Season 2 any day of the week. VOY Season 2 while we're at it as well. Even TNG Season 2, except for "The Measure of

Come talk about ENT Season 2 with @Charles Phipps and myself. As dull as it is, it's still more interesting than whatever Char's drummed up.They're not legitimate critics.
Negativity = Clicks = $$$$$
They've been predicting Disco's cancellation for the past four seasons.
Gotta love the early-2000s.Random crap posting but Cogenitor is one of those episodes that really makes my blood boil since the Taliban comparisons were pretty easy to make when it first aired. Apparently, archer thinks it would be terrible to take a refugee woman from said culture because "culture" dictates a woman is property in their society.

Which he?
^ Yeah. Sorry for the confusion. I've edited my previous post to clear things up. It's late at night.Who? Char?![]()
They're not legitimate critics. They're being disingenuous.

They don't seem shy about praising it when they like it!
Whew. With those lousy numbers i would definitely call it a failure on all levels.
They're not legit? Yet they have 1.4M followers to Paramount+ 440K. That places Paramount at the same level as Nerdrotic. Hell critical drinker has 1.18M.They're not legitimate critics. They're being disingenuous.
This is peak TrekBBS. I've been giggling for five minutes now. That last episode has actually ruined a few days of my life
