Is Living Vitness canon or miror universe?

If there was a backup in play in Renaissance Man, then the Doctor upon returning from his away mission should have met himself and they should have argued about how to proceed until their "histories" were integrated and one of them was packed away in that little box... Which was, by the way, the penultimate episode.

Although.

If he'd just rebooted the Equinox EMH back to factory settings instead of deleting it completely, MURDERING "it", then that could have been easily been rejiggered into a back up.

besides all the back up really would have been would have been B'Elanna's betatest of a mobile emitter constructed with 24th century technology after studying that impossibly magic bastard they stole from the 29th century.

Redshirt, you're three pages behind the argument at hand.

We didn't see a episode where the crew create a backup module for the EMH.

We only know that at some point they did.

'Message in a Bottle', where the subplot was Tom & Harry tryin' to make a new EMH, and failin' miserably after one attempt & both givin' up on it
Well apparent someone kept at it, yes? Because prior to leaving the Delta Quadrant a backup module was produced.

They didn't have two Delta Flyers when they first arrived either.

:)

Yeah, but they only built the second one 'cause they lost the first.

The Doctor kept comin' back to the ship.

:p

I've always found the last minutes of Virtuouso suspicious.

It's more than possible that the Doctor did leave and that the replacement EMH was given that cock and bull story about being replaced at the 11th hour to gloss over the exchange. It was just something they programmed into him. It never really happened.

She probably did that to the crew all the time too when ever she replaced them with clones for being difficult or dead.

They got through 130 Harry Kims in 170 episodes.
