Is Keenser a Kolaran?

Keenser (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Keenser) sure reminded me of those dudes from Nemesis from Kolarus III (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Kolaran). Anybody else agree?

Well, they are both wearing those teensy sunglasses in the photos. And Keenser wears his even in a darkened hallway. That is kind of noteworthy.

I don't remember seeing how tall a Kolaran is.

Kolarans seem to be as tall as most humanoids are. Plus, their facial features are slightly different from Keenser's.

Well, I'm almost certain this was not the intention of Abrams & Co., but it would be a nice tie-in to the TNG era (besides Spock's Prime 'backstory', of course).
