This is something that has kind of nagged at my subconscious for awhile now. It might just be my imagination but it seems to me the sets of Stargate Command changed somewhat over time. I don't know why but they begin to feel more unrealsitc with each passing season.
The Gateroom is the most ovious example to me. I use to think the room was pretty big in the early seasons and the glass windown area were the gate techincians worked was up much higher from the ground than it was in the later seasons. It might have something to do with them from switching from film to digital. Maybe the sets weren't detailed enough to handle that transition. Then there is the fact that I think the lighting changed over the years. They use to be darker lit like "Battlestar Galatica" and the first two seasons of Ds9. I don't know why they would change this. Usually this type of lighting I feel helps make a show look better and it hides any imperfections or fakeness about a set.
