Is Far Beyond the stars overrated?

Most TV, both good and not, isn't subtle, you can easily be not subtle without necessarily being excessive and hear I felt the tone felt yes unsubtle but appropriately, effectively so including the breakdown.

I think it is really strong, a lot of it really good, but also at least a bit overstuffed, real good but yes not one of the greatest ever-though it does come close to that. It did a lot well but the weakest part was probably the parallels between Russell as writer and Sisko as Emissary/Captain, what was the message Sisko was supposed to get.

I don't like the prospect that none of what we see in DS9 is real. I don't appreciate being emotionally involved in a show and then being told "oh, buy the way, none of this is real." So much for my emotional investment.

It was definitely a weird note to try to include, end episode on, interesting in itself but a bit choppy/excessive to end episode on. But I think it worked well enough as that Sisko didn't really think that but just had gotten really involved with the persona, it felt real and he was still effected by the persona, considered him to be as real in some senses.
