Is Amy even "real?" Possible Spoilers

I really think they will give the whole Chamleon Arch a rest, most since it is an RTD plot device and not moffets

Yeah, it was a great idea but I really hope it isn't used again, or at least not for many years.

Yup, it was one of my biggest Holy Shit moments when they used it to bring the Master back in Utopia. when Yana first pulled the fob watch out, I dropped my jaw. They will really never use it at that WTF level again.

I tend to agree with the OP, as I said here last Tuesday:

"Why aren't there any ducks? Then how do you know it's a duck pond?"

Amy Pond.

The duck pond is the appearance of the Big Bad "seen in the very first episode. 'Albeit, not in the most conventional form. You’re going to have to think about it and find out what it is, but it’s in there.'"

Amy is Dawn Summers. She's a function of whatever the Big Bad is, she didn't exist before there was the crack in the wall of that otherwise abandoned house. She isn't real.

Or not. Who the hell knows?

Except Dawn Summers is actually the Princess Astra... (no, seriously, she's a blatant ripoff - a key given human form to hide it from the baddies...)

Hasn't Moffat gone on record saying that he doesn't want the time lords?
It would be a bit odd for him to say that only to bring one in as a companion.

He likes *his* time lords. And his Daleks and his Doctor and his TARDIS and his companion and... :)

I woke up with the thought that Amy is also a Time Lord, she just doesnt remember that she is. Don't know why now, but it made sense when i first thought it.

Maybe she came through the crack in the wall like Prisoner Zero.
Amy was a real a little girl. The crack is a fracture caused by Rassilon breaking the Time Lock on the Time War-- remember 10 said all of it was coming back if Gallifrey returned. Amy is a orphan of Gallifrey; a child of a Time Lord family, who used a Chamleon arch on her in order to hide her from the Dalek and Rassilon's followers.

Ya that makes sense. To an extent. It still doesnt explain why she can't remember the daleks on earth.

Oh - I also just caught Amy's "I never could resist a keep out sign." She easily picked a lock, as if she does that a lot.
She's a strippergram who dresses up as a police woman. It's sod's law that at some point a fat businessman's ended up handcuffed to a chair with his trousers down and the little key's gone missing.

Talking from experience there then?
What I've done in the past to earn extra money is my own business.

Anyway, as for this bit about the crack being caused by events from The End of Time or anything from the RTD era, I have me doubts. I imagine Moffat would want a clean break to establish some new mythology. I could be wrong, but we'll see.

It would make sense she is the little girl from 1998, the daleks, sycoracx and the cybermen have not happened yet.

Amy is an anagram of Yam. I take this as conclusive proof that she's actually some kind of alien space vegetable...

NO! Amy is an anagram of May - she is Peter Parker's auntie! Err....in a red wig. After many Botoxes. And a change of accent.

Amy is the Master in disguise pretending to be a young girl in order to get his final revenge on the Doctor.

It's an anagram of Yma - she settles in Peru in the 1950s and goes on to a remarkable career as a singer.
Hmm...could she possibly be a hybrid entity with three heads who, when not having a remarkable career as a singer, has time to be the long-suffering auntie of a wall-crawling friendly-neighbourhood webslinger while coping with the trials and tribulations of life as a non-terran herbaceous plant called YmaYamAmyMay?
