Quoted For The Goddamn Truth. There is no such thing. That's redhead overload.
I saw the trailer before Avatar.
My, is Robert Downey Jr. getting the lead in a lot of dumb action movies these days. Granted, this is the follow-up to the mediocre, lightweight, and run-of-the-mill movie he improved by a factor of Robert Downey Jr. with his presence, but this... whoa. That guy with the electric shocks and the suit, he's just a whole new level of stupid. He is astronomically more idiotic-looking than anything the first movie had. I know a greater leinency is expected for comic book movies, but I think my limit is this guy.
His gravelly voiceover about the evils of Stark industries does not imbue me with confidence - yet another villain who makes a valid ethical point then obliterates his notional high ground by crushing stuff up, I take it. I've been there, done that, worn the goddamn T-shirt.
I see Don Cheadle has replaced Terence Howard. Smart call, but I'm probably going to give this a pass like I did the first movie also.
I'm interested to see Whiplash's final form. It's obvious the villain is getting funding from Hammer. Was Whiplash as smart as Tony? It looked like he was building his own Mark I in a cell of some sort.
Natasha Romanova AKA Black Widow, in Stark Industries as Tony's new secretary, filling in for Pepper Potts, who took Obadiah Stane's function as CEO. Natasha steals the Mark II and the Arc Reactor blueprints, which are given to Justin Hammer. He turns the Mark II into War Machine and mass produces Arc Reactors for the Tactical Assault Drones, which, unknowly to Natasha and the others, are part of his plan to destroy Stark.
Are these spoilers or speculation? If they're spoilers you should code them.
clearly he's wearing 2 different suits in the movie based on the two trailers - one looks similar but different to the Mark 3 and one looks almost like the Extremis armor with the triangular chest RT.
This movie will kick ass on so many levels.
I'm outright panning a movie I saw on TV because I couldn't be bothered to see it on the big screen, actually. So, in regards to IM1, you are outright panning a movie you didn't see?
Saw the trailer with Sherlock Holmes.
Loved the first movie, I watch it a few times a year, and I eagerly await Iron Man 2.
That said, the trailer was 90% underwhelming.
Just as Avatar had the cheesy "Your not in Kansas" line in its trailers(then filled the movie with horrid cliches) we get "You complete me" in the IM2 trailer. I only hope that unlike Avatar the movie is better scripted after showing me some cheese.
The trailer really felt like a flip book of all the leaked photo stills and Ent.Tonight clips. There was no cohesiveness to it at all, no narrative to follow. I await a better second trailer that gives a better sense of the movies direction.
I'll be there regardless but I want more to make me feel like my trust is well placed. Avatar let me down so I'm not ready for another full creative let down again so soon.
Problem is, the trailer didn't exactly do much to tease the actually story. It was, essentially, "Iron Man is back, Stark is still irreverent, here are some 'cool' shots of a 'cool' villain and 'cool' action set pieces to show how 'cool' the movie is."How about appreciating what you have and concentrating on the story?

I think you're right:
*SNIP*
Is it just me, or are people really missing the allusions to the grander story in the trailer? Anyone actually listen to Whiplash's voice over? Even just the shot of Tony with his shirt open, showing the arc reactor in his chest and the horrible veinage drawing away from it. What does that mean? Is it affecting his health? There's lots in the trailer that alludes to a grander story, you just need to see it.
On another note, anyone know if the CGI Iron Man is motion captured by RDJ or is it purely CGI artistry?
