Introducing James T. Kirk

It would be interesting if the Enterprise was called on assist Farragut after the rampage of the cloud creature, given that the creature decimated the ship's crew. She may need medical assistance and perhaps some personnel in order to make it to a starbase.

That aside, I would still rather not see James Kirk in this series.

Besides, isn't it the general thrust of the gist that Kirk's appearance on SNW will involve the Farragut?
It could be after the disaster. It never said the ship was destroyed.

Upcoming Episode 4
The crew are wearing memorial pins that represent ships that were either destroyed or suffered a large loss of life, and one of them is for the USS Farragut. Interesting how it specifies 'returned to active service'

Christine was wearing the Farragut pin which means she and Kirk may have served together aboard the Farragut before her assignment aboard the Enterprise.

Well in the Kelvin Universe, Chapel was a notch on Kirk's bedpost before leaving for the frontier to be a nurse.

STAR TREK TOS 2.0 is an enviability. SNW is laying the star track for it. I hope we get as much of Pike and company before the switch tho'. But it's coming.

Yup I agree. SNW us the prep for it. Too bad though. I would like to see a period after he Picard series. To me that's the continuation of the timeline we've been following for a long time now. I would like a episodic 25th century star trek show with a new captain and crew with no ties whatsoever with past shows except that it's in the same universe and Starfleet of course. Basically how tng started out. Maybe it's quick Mccoy type cameo but nothing more.

IDK if they'll revisit/reboot TOS entirely.

They COULD pick up where TOS S3/TAS/The TOS feature films left off though. That's entirely possible.
Or do a first year of Kirk in command of the Enterprise, after the events of WNMHGB. Kind of show the beginnings in the Prime Universe of how the crew got to know each other.

I predict a time travel episode that takes place at the end of the first five year mission in that squishy bit of space/time called "We can do what we want."

That could be fun.

Canon is infinite. It's never stretched.
Indeed. Adding to the canon is not stretching it by, um, any stretch.

You know what I mean!

Canon can never be "violated". Especially by those who create it.
Star Wars fans in 2014: I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of canon fanatics suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened to the canon.

LFL: It seems in our haste, we rebooted it. You and your canon are now... Legends!!!!!

Star Wars fans in 2014: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LFL: :guffaw: . Young fools. Only now, in the end, do you understand. Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the money! You will pay the price for your lack of corporate vision!

(proceeds to make Solo movie which actually loses money)
