Intrepid bridge layout

Hey all,

I'm making 3D recreations of the sets from Voyager, but I'm lacking in a floor plan for the bridge...all the ones I can find are just outlines, or else don't point out things like the steps that are essential. Can anyone help me out?

Are you looking for the set blueprints or just high quality photos of the bridge to draw from? If it's the blueprints I have no idea. Otherwise you might try this site, which is a very good Voyager reference.

Thanks to TrekCore I've got most of the visual reference material I need, but the missing element is the set blueprints.

The one that's there is very inaccurate, the forward walls by the viewscreen are too round--coming off the science and engineering stations the walls are angled more than that.

Good luck with the 3D work. I'll admit I was never that fond of the Voyager bridge, cause I feel it could have been designed better.

I agree with you on this one...Voyager's bridge looked like it was caught halfway between the 1701-D bridge and a warship bridge. You could never tell whether it was supposed to look comfortable and inviting or utilitarian and functional. Parts of it were just undeniably cool, like the MSD on the back wall, or the viewscreen, or even the side stations--to its credit, every station on this bridge had an identifiable function that wasn't mere window dressing like the 1701-D bridge side stations were in Generations. Some things however just didn't make sense, like the fact of there being a command bench with the two chairs evenly spaced around the central axis versus having one central command chair like we're accustomed to.

Still, of all the starship bridges we saw post-TOS I think I like this one the best. The fact is, for all its other shortcomings, this one did have the coolest red alert appearance (what can I say, I like dramatic lighting schemes and this one took the cake).

I'm not too sure about that. The side stations weren't all that visible because they were smaller, and I'm not really sure there was an advantage to having tactical and ops behind the command chair. On the Enterprise-D it worked because the tactical officer was like a link between the command row and the back stations. And he could rock around during fights more easily. :D
