JEM'HADAR: The Cardassian. Where is he?

 

Bashir: Outside, I suppose.

The lead Jem'Hadar smacks Bashir across the face and he is knocked to the floor.

 

JEM'HADAR: He is not outside.
(The search begins)
JEM'HADAR: Move.
(The Breen stands up.)

 

Bashir: What do you want with him?

 

[Crawlspace]

JEM'HADAR [OC]: He is to be put to death.

 

Another Jem'Hadar finds the Metal Shard.

Jem'Hadar 2: Sir.

 

JEM'HADAR: If you wish to live, explain this.

 

Back at DS9

Kira: The Bird-of-Prey Y'Tem is in position.

 

O'BRIEN: That's everybody.

 

Sisko enters from his office.

Sisko: Major, Commander, report to the Defiant.

 

DAX: Yes, sir.

 

Sisko: Good luck.

 

KIRA: To all of us.
(Kira and Dax leave.)

 

Sisko: Deploy the runabouts.

Honestly, would runabouts even matter in the battle at this point? They've got a Starfleet Task force, a Klingon Task force and a wave of Romulan Warbirds, plus DS9's own weapons system.

 

[Runabout Yukon]

O'BRIEN [OC]: Runabout Yukon, prepare for departure. Runabouts Rio Grande and Volga stand by.

 

The Bashir Changeling is at the helm.

Bashir Changeling: (in a female voice) Yukon ready. Engines engaged.

We see that the runabout crew is dead on the floor.

 

O'BRIEN [OC]: Good luck, Yukon.

[Ops]

O'BRIEN: Sir, I'm picking up a large tachyon buildup, multiple vectors. Ships decloaking.
(Romulan Warbirds appear)

 

Sisko: Romulans?

Okay, they didn't have the romulans yet, but my point remains the same.

 

O'Brien: They're requesting permission to join the fleet!
