Looks like a cross between 300 and Clash of the Titans. The visuals look great, no idea if the story will deliver.

I agree the visuals look stunning and it will be interesting to see Henry Cavil in this. I dismissed this when it was first announced but now might actually check it out.

Many people's reaction to this around the web seems to be "This looks just like 300, what a lame rip-off!".

While there are obviously some superficial similarities, I actually don't think it looks too much like 300 at all. To me, it looks a lot like a cross between Tarsems usual visual style and a Caravaggio painting come to life, which is pretty awesome if you ask me.

Let's hope the story can keep up with the visuals!

I loved the visuals of "The Fall", and when I read about this I thought it would be cooler than "Clash Of The Titans". Looks awesome. Tarsem's got a great eye for visual flair.

I don't know if there's a thread for this movie or not. if you've seen captin america then you've seen the preview my this look really awesome and I was just wondering is this a sequal or a prequal to 300?

It's not related to 300 at all it's baced on the myth of Theseus.

^ Greek mythology timothy. There was a thread for the initial teaser trailer a few months ago but it didn't really get any responses. If you are ever curious if there is already a thread use the search button to type in the subject and see what comes up.

I'm slightly interested in "Immortals" from a visual stand point. I know people who have read the script and didn't like it at all. Henry Cavil is a pretty good actor and I know people will be seeing this to see how he does before "Man of Steel" but I wouldn't go into this film with those preconceptions. I'll probably end up seeing this.

The visuals look drab as all heck - brown, brown, black, tan, a hint of yellow, some grey, and hey, more brown. It also looks as though it'll take itself super-seriously, which the recent Clash never did.

In short, it looks terrible. But we'll see, I suppose...

That movie was craptacular and while it would be redundant to say it sucked....I'm going to say it anyway: It sucked.

Can't say much about Immortals other than I like the director's style. I enjoyed the visuals in "The Fall", and I dig some of the scenes in the Immortals trailer.

While the trailer doesn't "wow!!" me, it does have me intrigued.

I'm certainly looking forward to this movie a lot! Each trailer looks more spectacular than the last. Looks epic...

My only misgiving about the movie is the casting of Mickey Rourke as Hyperion. Ugh. He looks like he is from a different film, and for some reason he mumbles all of his lines.

"Clash of the Titans" didn't take it's self seriously? I must have watched the wrong movie then because I don't remember watching that much of a tongue-in-cheek film. "Immortals" seems to have a similar tone in my opinion.

okay I went to winkipedia to check him out. it seems this will be set before heracles. from what I have read and they first trailer I saw I can't wait for this to come out.
as far as clash of the titans I liked it for what it was a good action movie. Now this all so looks like it will be great in 3d as well.

Clash Of The Titans is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It was so bad that even Rifftrax didn't make it better.

I guess I should have said it had no pretensions. Aye, it didn't mock itself a la The Mummy, but it didn't ever slow down for ponderous speeches, angst, or unnecessary character-building where a cool fight would do. That, and it was pretty colorful, with big, splashy action.

The vibe I get from this trailer is similar, but with pretensions, and a color scheme closer to Letters from Iwo Jima. We'll see... or maybe not...

Once again, it's Greek Myth. You can look up it on wikipedia or the internet or better yet take out a few books from the library on it. There is no novelization these are going by the wayside it would seem (probably to do with the current status of the economy).
