I'm pretty sure my neighbors are running a brothel.

I'm pretty sure my across-the-breezeway neighbors are running a brothel or possibly a really small, niche, discotheque in their apartment.

All day long, almost constantly, I can hear loud music playing from their apartment. The odd thing is that it's loud Indian music. Like the type you'd hear if you went into a Indian Restaurant or something. (Indian as in people from India, not Native American.)

Now you might think that it's not too odd to hear the sounds from neighboring apartments but in this case it is because it's not the case of hearing the muffled sounds of someones stereo or TV but it's very clear, loud, music from an apartment that's 8 feet across from my wall across an exposed to the outside breezeway.

So there's two walls and eight feet of difference between my wall and theirs, yet I can hear this music as if it was playing in my bedroom. (It's often drowned out by my TV.)

So, suspecting I'm just over-reacting to "normal noise" from a neighbor I turned my TV on and played a loud movie at the volume I would normally listen to it at, went outside and stood against the far wall to see if I could hear it. Nothing. When I stood by my door I could hear the muffled sounds of my TV. What I could hear was this generic-sounding Indian music blasting away from this other apartment.

So something that piques my interest more is that frequently throughout the night I see people entering and leaving this apartment. Knocks at doors, door opens, guy enters, few minutes later someone else leaves it's odd. They get several different visitors every night.

This music plays from about late-morning/early-afternoon until at least midnight. Constantly.

In fact I'm sitting here right now, my TV is off, and I can hear this music quite clearly, it's a bit muffled, sure, but it's audible, and I hear them just now letting someone into the apartment (I heard them walk-up and knock.)

I tell you something fishy is going on over there!

so what's the problem here?

Mostly the loud music blasting through my walls.

Also, you know how normally when you open the door for someone you open it pretty wide so the person get in? (Barring a situation where wind or inclement weather warrants not doing this.) These people open the door just barely enough for the person to get inside; they kind-of have to squeeze between the door and the jamb walking sideways.

Okay, someone else knocked and entered. This one a youngish (20s) looking woman of some Middle-Eastern, or related, descent. (i.e. black hair, brownish skin.) Also someone who knocked and was allowed in, also being let in through the barely opened door by someone standing behind the door so that they're unseen through the opening.

This makes two visitors in the last half hour or so.

Maybe it's a drug dealer's house and they play that loud music to drown out police wires. That's kind of stretching the brainpower your average street-level drug dealer, but maybe that's what it is.

Of course, if it's just an innocent discotheque, go dance! Have some fun! I wish I had a discotheque or dance hall or something in my town. The closest thing we have is the freakin' kite shop.

Wait... what? Who are you? This thread was started by Trekker and now... I'm confused!

Or illegal after-hours bar. That would be my guess. Unless it is just neighbors who like to party...

What's their address? I'll look into it, and report my findings. Maybe.

A gentleman never reports his findings

To the OP, it's either a whore house or a drug house or possibly both. Ask for a share of the profits and if the hookers are hot and high class (unlikely) ask for some 'mates rates' services.

However if they pull a gun on you, back away slowly and in your best sergeant schultz say 'i know nuhzzing, nuhzzing!'
