The stripe on this saide is perfect. On the "hero" (left) side it's wobbley. Oh well.

I used photoetch parts from a Fletcher class DD set for the grills on the side of the nacelles and the retracted feet.

Okay, this is disturbing:

I didn't realize until I saw this photo, that airbrushing Future on the windshield left a pebbled texture! You really can't see it (well, MY old eyes can't) normally.

Just kidding! That thing is sweeeeeeeet! Again, I'm amazed--astounded--at how you can kitbash a more-Trek-than-Trek design out of non-Trek stuff. She is gorgeous and completely congruent with the Star Trek I grew up with. Your stuff reminds me that, when I was nine, it wasn't the philosophy, the friendships, the cerebral SF or even the endearing chessiness and gradiloquonce that pulled me into Trek, it was the ships. My love expanded to cover all that other stuff later. This shuttle--more than most of your beautiful ships--makes me feel like a kid again.

One thought did hit me though as I looked at the head-on shot. That is the perfect shot for a Scooby Doo in Space episode if I ever saw one. The week's episode, out heroes that the "Mystery Machine" into space where they encounter a large phantom hand that takes hold of the ship and claims to be the ancient god Apollo. Tune in next week....Scooooooby Dooooby Dooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
