I'm on a roll

Forbin

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
.... with butter.

Doesn't the hull of this:

Look like it'd make a decent "heavy survey" shuttlecraft?

Well, I thought so.

Yes, it does.
Nice interior. Did the original model come with all that detail?

I used crew and chairs from two of the Voyager kits, it only has a crew of four. The greeblies on the back wall are from a 1/48 scale jet engine. Otherwise, yeah, the Voyager comes with a pretty detailed interior.

Looks cool, although the first thing I thought of when I saw the hull was a retro-styled Batmobile. :)

And I thought it was the bottom-side of a remote control that needed four AA batteries.

Forbin, what are the measurements and scale on The Voyager, and where can it be purchased?

That's the funny thing about "The Galileo Seven" the gold-shirts get killed and the red shirts survived.

Six or seven inches long. Scale is "1960s Aurora box scale" :) You can buy it at any hobby shop, or online at www.culttvman.com or www.starshipmodeler.com

I'm actually really surprised you are doing a TOS take on this... the front of this ship just calls out "Aerowing".

This is going quicker than I thought!
Everything new is just sheet plastic. The nacelle is plastic tube (the shuttle's don't taper like the E's) The domes are pearl beads, the tail cowls are from the old Spaceship Set Enterprise.

I'm thinkin' paint is gonna hit this puppy this weekend!

It's just a shuttlecraft. A "heavy survey shuttle."
Decals will show it attached to one of my kitbash ships, the USS Soryu.

Actually, it seems almost exactly--scratch that, it seems precisely exactly--like what you'd expect a 23rd century runabout to look like.

Yeah, but when we had the 23rd century runabout discussion here recently, I was adamantly on the side of "No! You can't retcon it! The runabout was invented for DS9 and can't have existed before!!"

So I have to save face and call this a heavy shuttle.

Oh, very nice! Looking forward to seeing this finished.

I love how the fact they've stopped making Trek kits still hasn't stopped you from building more Trek kit-bashes.

Sean
