I'm hooking up the Intellivision.

Damn techies and their LEDs and digital gizmos. Back in my day we had black & whtie TV with two knobs, and bunny ears. Also, just a few channels.

That television is sitting in my closet. I never throw anything away.

My old Atari console is in there too.. with games.

I got rid of the Atari. I got tired of playing video gams, really, really quickly after beatign two of them. I just don't get weird addiction and wasted time. There are much better ways to waste time. Though I still wish I had mine, just so I could whip it out once a year for old-time sake and play Pitall or some other such lame game that was still cheesey fun.

Heck, I still wish I had a rotary phone. If I ever get a cellphone again, one with a big round rotary dial on it would be super awesome.

Ah yes the Intellivision.... one of the many consoles of my youth. My Grandfather had the Intellivision before getting an NES, my dad had the Atari, soon followed by the Commodore 64, my neighbor had the Coleco Vision and Vic20 and then it all went from there from the NES, SNES, etc. etc. etc..... up till now where I have the Wii and I can once again play Commodore 64 games and the sort..... full circle almost.

For the OP, if the controls are balky on that Intellivision, it may well be due to oxidation on the contacts. It you're somewhat mechanically inclined, you can take the controlers apart, gently unfold the laters of the folded pcb and switch matrix, and lightly burnish them with a typing eraser.

My god, it's close to 30 years since I last used that tidbit of information, and it's still in my head! LOL
