I'm growing some facial hair!

How long should it really take from perfectly shaved to grow "a beard"?
I'm 26 now and still can't really grow one.

How long have you been able to grow facial hair? I had the light-ish fuzz on upper lip at 15/16, but didn't really bother shaving properly until around 20/21.

My wife just bought shaving cream for my 13-year old son. He doesn't have much of a beard yet, but there's enough he needs to shave.

I didn't need to start shaving until I was half way through 16. I do not, however, know how to shave with a razor and lather. I've only ever used an electric razor/shaver...which works perfectly fine for me. I may want to take the time and learn someday though.

I shave like a man, just some soap and water and a real sharp, real big, knife.

I use willpower to either force the hair out, or retract it. Who has time to "shave?"
