I'll take the urn for my stay in the final frontier please

OMFG!
Are you kidding me????? That is the most awesome thing EVAH!
People that know me know that my wishes are to be cremated and have some of my ashes shot up into space (im serious)....but the rest needed an appropriate resting place. I now have found it!!!!!

Thank you for posting that link. Freakin' Outrageous!!!!!!!

You are very welcome Yeoman Randi!

I too wish to have a portion of my remains launched into space, I don't know how realistic it is, probably costs 1000 times the cost of a normal funeral... But I live in hope... of my death...!

^ It probably does cost a fortune, but if i dont have an outrageously expensive funeral the husband will find more fun things to do with the money after i'm gone.....

I have seen the caskets on here before. The urn is a new twist. I do not think it is very reminiscent of Trek though. The casket does.
The casket was supposed to be out a couple years ago. I am beginning to wonder if it is a legit product.

Wow. That is... wow.
It's weird and fantastic at the same time. Certainly creative.

... I guess it'll be easy to spot the most die-hard fans.

^ I don't see it as pathetic at all! If i am going to be cremated (which i am), my ashes will need to be put somewhere. Why not in something that reflects who i was? Have you ever had to bury a parent or another loved one? What those funeral places put you through in trying to pick out the right "casket" or whatever is awful! I love knowing I'll be in something that relects who i was and what i loved rather than any old generic container that my husband picked out in between crying jags (he better be crying!)

I think this thing rocks!

Am I the only one who finds it a little...pathetic?

I find it about as pathetic as a Lakers fan who wants his coffin to be decorated with Lakers paraphenalia and painted purple and gold.

In my mind, the funerals are really for the living. How would this make the survivors feel. Would it give them some sense of comfort, or would it really bother them. That should really be the deciding factor.

As for me, I think it would be ridiculous to have that torpedo casing casket unless it can be draped with the Federation flag.

Hmmmm. I think it's time to start planning my funeral.

Well, that's pathetic, too.

I doubt Trek is going to be much on my mind as I shuffle this mortal coil, and certainly won't be on the minds of my loved ones. It's one of those moments where I have to say, it's just a TV show, folks.

*shrugs*

I agree with you. Also, your "Star Trek fan card" is safe. If you have a "basement-dwelling fanboy card", on the other hand, it should be turned in immediately.:techman:

Though it may be on the minds of my family, but in this way:

"Well, now what are we going to do with all the Star Trek crap he collected?"
