what if today they made an annoucement that a comet was heading towards earth, previously unaccounted for, and it would end all life on earth...next tuesday. What would you do with so very little time left.

Wast there a news piece that they could Armageddon any major rock with a bomb the size of a reliant robin and such a device could be simply aimed and launched?
A whole week seems to me like ample time for them to sort something like that out.
