Helmsman or armory officer. I love pilot-related stuff and blowing things up, but I suck at technobabble so I wouldn't make a good scientist or engineer. Maybe comms officer, since I have a fondness for linguistics, too.

The random Romulan... :rommie:

Poll wise, although I don't have much of a knack for getting languages like Hoshi... I'd be in communications.

At first I thought being a MACO would be cool, but seeing how little development and even screen time most of them got I changed my mind. The MACOs ended up being pretty anticlimactic.

Redshirts were more interesting than most of the MACOs. If Major Hayes hadn't existed, there'd have been almost no plausible, concrete reason to have them on the show.

Yeah but the guys playing Starfleet Security breathed a sigh of relief. ;)

How about Other - Chef. You might not get any screen time except from the neck down (or unless Johnny Frakes Quantum Leaps into your body) but at least you'll get a mention at least every episode or so.

"TATV" made the Chef-from-the-neck-down cameo in "The Catwalk" seem like viewing a Monet painting at the Louvre.

Whatever other Talents, Posters here have a great sense of Humor.

Chief Engineer Getting T-Pol's engine runnning hot.

I'd want to go for Doctor or Chief Engineer. I like to help people and enjoy tinkering with things.

Poor Travis. Never gets any respect.

But you must admit, he got hugs. Girls. Kissage. Screen time. And dang, what a bod on that man! His Strong Silent MACO with the smoldering gaze was one of the highlights of "IaMD" for me.

I still defend Travis. So much "boomer" potential wasted because the writers almost never gave him much to do. Shit, we didn't even learn about one of his ex-loves/girlfriends until one week before the series went off the air("Demons").

I like Travis. There was so much potential to him and it's sad that they didn't explore it more. The character had a great deal of energy and so much potential. I would've liked to have seen more of his background on the show.
