If you could see a crossover with one other SciFi universe, which one?

Re: If you could see a crossover with one other SciFi universe, which

Star Trek and the Twilight Zone.

Have Kirk meet up with that chap from Nightmare at 20,000 Feet who insists there's a gremlin on the wing of the plane.

Or Spock cross paths with that US Marine in the Pacific in the episode Quality of Mercy.

Or have that Federation officer in the DS9 episode The Siege of AR-558 (?) meet Anthony Fremont from It's A Good Life (you're a very bad man, and you're thinking bad thoughts about me ! )

Star Trek + Lost in Space: Enterprise detects what appears to be an old Earth ship on the surface of a planet. Naturally, Kirk, Spock, and McCoy beam down to the site. The Robot says "Danger, Will Robinson!" John and Don shoot the landing party dead.

DC did that back in 1990. Peter David and Bill Mumy co-wrote a 3-parter called "The Return of the Worthy" in which the TOS crew encountered a family of legendary alien spacefarers who bore a striking resemblance to a certain space family Robinson. Their leader was named Catalano, after Guy Williams's real surname, and they had a father, mother, two daughters, precocious son, hotshot pilot, and a robot -- with Dr. McCoy filling the Dr. Smith role.

Star Trek and The Reimagined BSG. A universe full of hope crosses with a universe without hope.

Dr Who - or at least the Daleks

Already done as a set of comic books by IDW: Star Trek: The Next Generation/Doctor Who: Assimilation2

Wouldn't it be fun to see Spock learning how to harness the power of the force from Yoda. Imagine the conversation they would have. Then after using what he learned, Spock goes on to have a light saber fight against Vader. That would be amusing.

Spock has shown himself to be a good with the sword in "Day of the Dove", "Bread and Circuses", etc. Wonder how he'll handle a light saber.

Check out this proposal: Star Wars Episode VII: Star Trek

Quantum leap.

Sam Becket jumps into Captain Archer and starts kicking ass.

"ohhh boy"
I wonder what he would think when he looks the mirror and sees... a older version of himself!

In terms of worlds that need no alternate universe at all, I would say Firefly probably has the most potential. Assume that the Alliance left earth during/immediately after WWII (fully in the belief that the planet was doomed) and, like so many others in Star Trek history, their sub-light ships ran into some kind of spacial anomaly that catapulted them to some far flung corner of the universe with very few, if any, immediate neighbors. Then, hundreds of years later, this entire culture that has defined itself as 'the last fringes of humanity' comes face to face with some very hard truths when the Federation makes first contact with them - that Earth never died, that their exodus was probably entirely unnecessary, that their technology is woefully inadequate (compared to the progress earth has made in the same amount of time), that aliens are real and the universe is much bigger than they ever realized. Not to mention how the Alliance might react (try to destroy/chase away the Starfleet ship and cover up the entire incident? Try to ally with some anti-Federation power?)

The 'Alliance' could have launched in the 22nd century just a decade after the first contact with the Vulcans (around the same time as the Bringloidi and the clone people from 'Up The Long Ladder' had went into space) with the same thing happening (some Chinese and American ships are in the convoy.) The Sino-American 'fleet' finds the first planet in the system, spreads out to others, and also gets others from other cultures on Earth who happen to also go to that sector of space.

Just alerted my comic shop to pull the Star Trek/Planet of the Apes comic for me.

I've only skimmed the thread, but I haven't seen "Farscape" mentioned -- especially in connection to DS9.

What if the other end of the DS9 wormhole, rather than landing in Dominion space, landed in the middle of the Peacekeeper-Scarran conflict instead?

If the Peacekeepers came to the Alpha end of the wormhole, would they side with the Federation (Sebaceans being transplanted humans, after all)? Or would they ally with the Romulans first, being more compatible with the Romulan cultural "personality"?

Scarrans and Klingons might make nearly invincible allies (assuming they didn't turn on each other from the outset.)

And I can *totally* see Quark and Rygel being an inseparable pair.

Re: If you could see a crossover with one other SciFi universe, which

An off-topic clarification:

What if the other end of the DS9 wormhole, rather than landing in Dominion space...

The Idran terminus of the Bajoran Wormhole was actually some distance beyond Dominion space. Remember, it was about a year after the wormhole's discovery before Gamma Quadrant explorers/traders began hearing the first inklings of the Dominion's existence, and nearly another year before the Dominion made direct contact with Starfleet. And even after the Dominion started making noises about controlling the space on the GQ side of the wormhole, there were still periodic episodes where the Defiant explored the GQ without encountering the Dominion.

This has been a public service announcement. We now return you to your regularly scheduled discussion.

I've always thought a TOS/Terminator crossover would be neat, only I'd find a way to have the Reliant make an appearance on the off-chance that Captain Terrell and Lieutenant Traxler meet.
