You don't say?
I really found Wang "pulling the racecard" all the time in blaming his career problems solely due to Hollywood racism than his inherent laziness got real old fast.
Irony,
GWR by thy name. Remember this little gem for later, because it will come up again.
Please cite
several examples of him blaming race for his lack of acting jobs. Since it happens so frequently it shouldn't be a problem. And how do you know that he's lazy?
You mean that thing that almost all Star Trek actors do at one point or another? If you can make money at it and have some interaction with the fans, why knock it? And what does collecting residuals have to do with a job? He'd be getting those regardless.
Power Rangers do not equal a 40+ year prime time franchise.
It ain't just you, Wang. Hollywood loves to employ mostly white people, which has been Hollywood's policy since the very beginning. So there are mostly white roles written for white actors. That is the system you signed up for, yet you act like Hollywood has a vendetta against you personally as an individual when there simply isn't a niche for Asian American male actors in that industry.
In all honesty folks, Wang should have considered himself fortunate that he was cast as an Asian American "token minority character" on a UPN show considering his limited acting experience under his belt. Seriously, he was hired to fill a PC token Asian American male character slot, rather than any casting agent seeing him for his unique gifts or acting talents. He played a supporting character on a television show, and really should get out of his delusion that there is a movie career like Colin Farrell around the corner.
How the fuck do you know why Wang was hired and that it wasn't based on his talent as an actor? Even if race was a deciding factor in who they sought out for the role, it's not like he's the only Asian actor in Southern California. He still has to compete for the role.
You calling anyone out for pulling the race card is hilarious. You're the World Poker Tour Race-Carding champion, and cry wolf about it constantly, thus diminishing real examples of racism against Asians. Everything you do revolves around race; you can hardly get through a post without mentioning it, and most of your threads specifically focus on it, though always for inexplicable or incorrect reasons.
Get over your bizarre stalker-like hatred of certain actors and actresses for ridiculous reasons. Garrett Wang, Lucy Liu, George Clooney; no one can follow your crazy logic.
Now, all that being said, if I had to punch one celebrity...
Tom Hanks. Everyone says, "Oh, Tom Hanks is so nice" and "That Tom Hanks is both a fine actor and a gentleman." Well, fuck you, Hanks, I'm on to your game.
