Because that was how we last saw it...And why would they do that? Those additions weren't retroactive.

Because that was how we last saw it...
If PIC shows the Ent-D as a flashback, those additions won't be there, unless the flashback is to a point in time when they existed (i.e. GEN).
If it's a museum, then they will probably be there, since literally the only reason they were ever there in the first place was to make the Ent-D bridge suitable for widescreen, which PIC also is.
Right..
They didn't update the bridge for Prodigy.
LeVar said they filmed on the -D bridge for 3 days, so is appearing, it isn't an if. (unless he was mistaken somehow)
It's probably only in a single episode, since 3 days is less than filming for a single episode.
Would it look more like what we saw in Generations? Because that's the last time we saw what's left of it.
Because it makes sense. They probably will. These guys love their window vuewscreen combo's.
So what? This is a nostalgia victory lap. Look at Prodigy for clues. It's the odd ship out now though.. Now that TOS-1701 has been updated....I think the D should be updated as well. It would look out of place now that stuff like LEDS and window view screen with all kinds of info were available during Kirk's time and old Picards time but not TNG time....???. The exterior really doesnt need any updating though. But the interior definitely. Everything appears smaller in D than 1701 now. Yet it's a larger ship.
Warmth? Right...So basically a run down piece of crap that has no warmth like the D bridge had.
Warmth? Right...
It had a warm light and was nice and bright without all that crappy neon lighting everywhere. It was a great looking bridge.
It looked like a corporate waiting room.It had a warm light and was nice and bright without all that crappy neon lighting everywhere. It was a great looking bridge.
That's the joke...They didn't update the bridge for Prodigy.
It was a great looking bridge. But the bridge is just a plot device to help tell the story. Ergo, its design is pretty meaningless.
It looked like a corporate waiting room.
Mileage will vary.More like a five star hotel. But it looked great. It didn't have all that light flashes we get today, din lighting and constant 3d displays popping up everywhere. The Orville got the warm feeling down perfectly. Now that's sweet looking bridge.
Exactly. We're still at it, it seems.
One thing that annoys me IRL is that we're in the third decade of '80s nostalgia. To the point where I'm starting to get sick of the '80s. Which is something I never thought I'd ever say. TNG was created in -- check this out -- 1987!
One of the reasons why they won't update the ship that much is because the '80s are the decade that refuse to die. Like it or not, the '80s have staying power. So they'll ride that wave with the Enterprise-D.
This is speculation right? The showrunners are not bring it back? We're still at it, it seems.

One of the reasons why they won't update the ship that much (if at all) is because the '80s are the decade that refuses to die. Like it or not, the '80s have staying power. So they'll ride that wave with the Enterprise-D.
