If TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT were to get the reboot who would you cast?

Who would you cast as your primary villain and the villain's race?

Would the plot of your film(s) be a reboot from the very beginning or continue on from where the respective shows/films last left off?

Voyager would be easy -- Edward James Olmos as Chakotay, Mary McDonnell as Janeway, Jamie Bamber as Paris, Tricia Helfer as Seven of Nine, Katee Sackhoff as B'lanna, Tahmoh Penikett as Tuvok, Aaron Douglas as The Doctor, no one as Neelix...

Of course, you'd have to get rid of every stale, repetitive crutch and plot device that made Voyager so crappy to begin with and inject, you know, some drama and conflict.

Everyone, remember, the Trek XI forum is for discussion about topics related to the current J.J. Abrams movie in production. Don't be offended if your thread about older Trek incarnations gets moved. In such a high traffic forum any off topic threads can get buried quickly, and I'd rather see threads get discussed in their appropriate forum than not at all.

Fun topic! My philosophy here is that the recast actors should be younger than their "real" counterparts and should be actors who'd be willing to commit to TV (no Shia LeBouefs). ENT is too new to do this with.

Adrian Pasdar as Damar is almost as good as the real thing... except his chin could sink the Titanic!

And Milo as a Vorta? Well, he's cute enough. I'd definitely watch that show.

I'm just trying to set up Adrian vs Milo - that could be even better than Casey Biggs vs Jeffrey Combs.

Heck, maybe Milo should just play Weyoun? Seems heretical to recast the role, but that's part of the game, so...yeah, he's Weyoun.

Now we only need a role for Hayden Panetierre.

If i was going to redo the series, I would setup a generational story arcs.

Romulans would exist in Enterprise, TOS, to become the big bad in TNG.

Klingon cold war would start in Entprise, become a hot war in TOS, and settle down into strained peacful coexistance in TNG.

Enteprise and TOS would discovered planets wiped out by the borg, but the first encounter would be in TNG. The final battle with the borg would occur in Voyager.

TNG would begin to hear rumors of a "Federation" on the otherside of the galaxy, and see shapeshfiters. Only to have DS9 reveal the dominion and the war.

I think Eamonn Walker is the perfect Sisko because he combines both the badassness and the otherworldly element that Sisko was supposed to have. I think Walker would be a definite improvement over Brooks.

The part of Tom Paris will be played by Sean Maher, to free up Michael Trucco for the role of Cosmo Dax. Yes, we need a male host for Dax after Ezri is tragically strangled by a plate of unruly gagh while at DS9's Klingon resaurant on a date with Worf. And that's what you get for dating Worf.

I'd love to see Hugh Laurie in Picard's uniform. Laurie is an excellent actor who has the depth necessary to pull off Picard.
